It promises to preview the next evolution of Hyundai’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ form language, the i-oniq concept, and the wraps are supposed to come off the vehicle in Geneva next year. For starters, the company has decided to tease the form as a simple silhouette sketch.

Two strong arched curves define the silhouette of the i-oniq, creating a playful contrast between the sharp character lines and soft but muscular features, so goes the brand’s European chief designer, Thomas Bürkle. Nothing beyond that on the car, which is designed and developed at the company’s European R&D centre in Russelsheim, Germany, so more as it gets closer to the Swiss show.
